"She is young, smart, streetwise – something between Marylin and the B52’s, with a serious pinch of Lynch- and an incredible talent. She is crazy about America in the 50′s. We just love what she makes. SO SO sexy. Here is Amélie Pichard!"
Caroline Bongrand
What’s your name?
Amélie Pichard
Where do you live?
In Paris.
Sure! I’m a very dynamic parisian woman. I move across Paris by motorbike, bicycle, etc... So I make shoes and accessories for the active girl who wants to be elegant everywhere, every day. A Parisian girl is always chic! In each occasion.
How would you describe the style of what you create?
I design vintage shoes between 40′s/80′s. Sophisticated/French touch/mysterious /”Decalé”
Is there an special inspiration for all you do, or is it a different one for each collection?
A designer should work on his own style, his own inspiration across and above the tendancy. My inspiration is mainly driven by the David Lynch’s heroines and the Nouvelle vague french 60′s movies.

What is your favorite proverb? Why?
From Marcel Proust, I won’t try to translate it : « Nous sommes tous obligés pour rendre la réalité supportable, d’entretenir en nous quelques petites folies ».
